Engitec Technologies SpA designs, builds and supplies complete spent lead-acid battery recycling plants, which meet the most stringent environmental regulations all over the world.  Engitec’s know-how ranges from the breaking of the batteries and the separation of their components, through paste desulphurization and gaseous emissions treatment, to lead production via smelting and refining or direct electrowinning of paste with production of 99.99% Pb.

Cooper Environmental

Cooper Environmental is a recognized global leader in metals measurement technology.  The company was the first to develop and commercialize near real time measurement of metals using X-ray fluorescence (XRF).  Its ambient metals monitor, the Xact 625i, has demonstrated accuracy in numerous studies and peer reviewed journal articles and it is widely used by researchers and environmental agencies. The instrument has also been used by several industrial sites to help achieve environmental or industrial hygiene limits by helping to quickly identify sources and plant activities that cause pollution.  In addition to its ambient metals monitor the Cooper Environmental also makes instruments to measure metals in smoke stacks and water and it offers a complete line of sensor based measurements for criteria pollutants (SO2, CO, O3, NO2, PM10 and PM2.5), hazardous gases (HCl, Cl2, H2S, HF, NH3) and total VOCs.

Jiangsu New Chunxing Resource Recycling

Jiangsu New Chunxing Resource Recycling is a company with over 40 years history of processing ULAB(Used Lead Acid Battery). Our present ULAB treatment capacity is 1 million ton/year and fine lead output capacity is 600,000 ton/year. New Chunxing has become the largest secondary lead manufacturer in China.

New Chunxing is the earliest recognized enterprise of its kind who has obtained “National Authorized Technological Centre” and “National Appraised High-Tech Enterprise”; it is also the first secondary lead manufacturing enterprise that passed the inspection for license approval from Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). It has been listed on “All China Green Plants” in Oct 2018 by MIIT.

New Chunxing adheres to the development concept of “ecologically sustainable, resourcefully reusable and intelligently controllable”. Our standard, modularized and automated process allows the breaking of all parts of ULAB and processing them completely into useful secondary materials. New Chunxing is capable of manufacturing automated production line with ULAB treatment capacity between 10,000 to 300,000 tons/year.

New Chunxing’s independently researched and developed ULAB treatment equipment and processing technologies have been approved with over 30 national patented proprietary rights, some of the proprietary technologies have been submitted to EU countries, USA and Taiwan for patent application through PCT. These processing technologies are automated, seamless connection from ULAB breaking, sorting, converting, smelting, alloying to storage and dispatching. Thanks to these core technologies, our cost of treating ULAB is much lower than most secondary lead producer in the market.

The following is New Chunxing’s processing technology and emission standard:

  1. Our breaker is able to sort out different types of ULAB, coarse and fine lead grids are well separated without residues and can be melted with lower temperature for high quality lead alloy, efficiently utilizing antimony and tin in the lead grids; it can recycle the copper screws and disks avoiding mixture with lead which may cause further complication in the next step processing.
  2. The water for production is circulated and recycled inside the system with zero discharge outside the plant.
  3. Pure oxygen is used for our smelters, feeding is fully continuous, closed and automatic, energy is exchanged among the furnaces with negative pressure inside. There is less than 0.5% lead in the slag, the test result of TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Process) is far below national standard limit.
  4. New Chunxing integrates the unique process of oxidizing refining and basic refining to treat the coarse lead,the fine lead purity is 99.99%.
  5. Flue gas is emitted after multiple times of pre-desulfurization. Dust removal rate is over 99.9%, SO2≤ 10mg/nm3,Pb≤0.1mg/nm3,dust≤5mg/nm3.
